I wish this newsletter would bring good news to all those who are wanting to pursue a career within the Fire and Rescue Service. However, with rumours that Notts Fire and Rescue have just postponed their latest campaign, it no wonder your all feeling a little anxious. There is no other explanation for the slowdown in recruitment other than the financial situation the county finds itself in at the moment, savings have to be made and until this is done, we fear recruitment will remain on hold.
With companies and services looking to cut cost, we too have to look at how this effects the site and the impact this has on keeping the site going. I am pleased to say that we continue to run and maintain the site despite the lack of recruitment; this is primarily down to our sponsors.
With the above in mind, I would like to draw your attention to the actual section of our site, which contains the links to our sponsors in the hope you can not only help the site by keeping these sponsors on board, but you may just find yourself saving some hard earned cash via any discounts and promotions they provide.
So, I shall take this opportunity to introduce you to some of our latest sponsors. The section is still growing but does contain some great deals on items such as Batteries and Chargers, something we are all going to be buying in bulk come Christmas time, so well worth a look.
Another great sponsor is GymRatz, who supply all kinds of fitness equipment, advice and supplements to help you achieve the standard of fitness required. Remember, recruitment will open up again, and you will need to be in the right shape when it does.
There are several other sponsors who offer everything from courses, to financial services, all looking after the visitors to the site.
We appreciate that this is not a newsletter that perhaps you want to receive, but with the lack of recruitment taking place, we need to let you know you are till on our list. Should a glimmer of hope appear in terms of recruitment, we shall of course email you all straight away.
Stay safe and chin up…
