SEcond call of a fire in the open for 521, this time however it was to the factory shop near the station. The shop had some ribbon marking an area that had a bees nest. Someone decided it would be fun to set fire to the tape. The fire was out on arrival and the crew returned to the station
Orleton Farm was the destination for 521. A bonfire had flared up and was the cause of concern for the person monitoring it. A change in wind direction sent the flames too close to a barn for comfort so the crew were called to put the fire out
The job took 3 hours, with a combined effort from the Fire Service, Ambulance, Basics Doctors, 2 Air Ambulances and the police. It was the most difficult extraction attended by most of the fire service.
Both pumps mobilised to Townsend Court when a report came through of a fire in one of the flats. Fortunately it was a false alarm as a heating vent was giving off a large plume of steam which the resident thought was smoke
